AgSunrise Program

Like any business, it can be a monumental task to run a farm when you're just getting started. Like the farmers who have come before you, you are part of the next generation responsible for the sustenance of our nation. We appreciate your initiative to step up and carry that torch. So we offer you the resources that will make your job a little easier with our AgSunrise Program specifically tailored for young and beginning farmers.

Farm Credit knows the challenges of entering into the agriculture industry. We have developed flexible loan limits and educational opportunities to assist young and beginning farmers on their path to success.

We give special consideration in the loan approval process when working with our young and beginning customer-owners. We use less stringent owner equity, working capital and collateral standards to encourage credit to these groups of farmers. When appropriate, we'll also coordinate with governmental agencies to provide guarantees.

We're focused on building long-term relationships with the farmers of Southeast Missouri and helping young farmers grow.

Wondering if you qualify for our AgSunrise Program? Here's the criteria:

A principal operator (producer of agricultural products) who:

  • is 40 years old or younger, or
  • has 10 years or less experience as a self-employed farmer.
