FC SEMO CEO and TRC President shake on partnership for new classroom

Farm Credit Southeast Missouri and Three Rivers College are partnering to invest a significant amount to benefit Southeast Missouri over 12 years.

A highlight will be a new agriculture education classroom built on the Three Rivers Farm in Fairdealing, Mo. This new classroom will help serve the Southeast Missouri agriculture community as a classroom and meeting/event space. The agreement will include a Farm Credit Southeast Missouri classroom at Three Rivers locations in Poplar Bluff, Dexter, Kennett, and Sikeston.

“This is a tremendous opportunity for our students to benefit from additional hands-on education at the Three Rivers Farm,” Three Rivers President Dr. Wesley Payne said. “The Farm Credit Southeast Missouri classroom will be a wonderful space for hosting events and meetings for area FFA Chapters, Hero’s to Hives Program, regional 4-H Clubs, cattleman’s association, and other agriculture associations.”

A groundbreaking at the Farm for the Farm Credit Southeast Missouri classroom will be held in the near future, with numerous events to be held throughout the 2024-25 school year.

“Farm Credit Southeast Missouri is proud to partner with Three Rivers College to bring a new agriculture education classroom to Three Rivers Farm,” Farm Credit Southeast Missouri President and CEO Greg Cunningham said. “As an Association, we are committed to supporting the next generation of agriculture and are excited to see the opportunities that will be afforded to youth in Southeast Missouri with this project and partnership.”
