KENNETT, MO., — Farm Credit Southeast Missouri celebrated the grand opening of the newly relocated Kennett Branch Office Thursday, August 13, 2026.

After breaking ground June 19, 2025, Farm Credit Southeast Missouri's Kennett Branch officially opened the doors to the new facility located at 1371 Southwest Dr., Kennett, MO. Customer-owners, community members, family and friends were invited to the new location to help celebrate the grand opening alongside Farm Credit Board members and staff.

The event included remarks from Kennett Chamber of Commerce executive Director Christian Johnson, Kennett Vice President/Branch Manager Matthew Poole, and Farm Credit Southeast Missouri President/CEO Greg Cunningham.

"Agriculture has been the backbone of Kennett and this entire region for well over a century," Johnson said. "It is truly commendable that Farm Credit Southeast Missouri continues to grow and pursue their mission of advancing the agricultural industry now for over 100 years."

The previous Kennett Branch building had been in operation since 1975. Kennett Branch staff members are excited to welcome everyone into the new facility and continue serving local farmers and community members for years to come.

"We have a long history of being here in Kennett and Dunklin County," Poole said. "We couldn't have done this without our customer-owners; it is a testament to the longevity of agriculture and the need for agriculture in this area."

Poole continued by thanking the Kennett Branch staff: Pam Sherrod, Kelsey Lindsey, Sadey Parrish, Nathan Creed, Noah May, and Amy Bullock.

"This place is home because of the people who work here, and I hope the customers feel that when they come in and do business with us," Poole said.

The new facility serves as an investment in Dunklin County and surrounding areas for agriculture and agriculture businesses.

"We are proud to be a part of this community," Cunningham said. "We want to be part of the future of this community and the future of the farmers in this area – this is more than just a building; it is an investment."

Opening remarks were followed by the official ribbon cutting ceremony presented by the Kennett Chamber of Commerce. Guests enjoyed the ceremony along with a tour of the new facility and catered lunch from Rajin Cajun Food Truck.

Farm Credit Southeast Missouri thanks Dillie Pollard Architecture and project partners Sides Construction Co., Case Engineering, Inc., Smith and Boucher Engineers, and Smith & Co. Engineers, for bringing the vision for the new branch office to life.
